The ultimate weekend getaway, relax and enjoy climbing the rocks! The introduction to rock climbing focuses on fun and, of course, the rocks. We climb in the beautiful area of Pont-à-Lesse, the ideal place to start climbing outdoors. The massifs offer stunning views of the Lesse Valley.
What are you going to do?
A weekend of outdoor climbing; what more could a climber want? Join us on one of our weekends to the Ardennes, where we'll teach you the basics of rock climbing. During this weekend, there is also the possibility to get your indoor toprope climbing skill certificate.
Why this course
During this weekend, you can get your Indoor Toprope climbing skill certificate (KVB-IT), but outside on the rocks! Oh yes, and of course it's really fun while you're busy with your fellow students in the beautiful Ardennes.
Where are you going to climb
The course takes place in one or more beautiful climbing areas in the Ardennes, such as Pont-à-Lesse, within walking distance of the base camp. Other areas are usually 25 minutes' drive from our base camp at Villatoile campsite. Transportation here is on your own; of course, we will set up a carpool schedule together.
Fully cared for
From our base camp, we provide a delicious breakfast, lunch, dinner and a spot to pitch a tent. If you don't have a tent, you can rent a pop-up tent from us that we'll set up for you! We also have delicious drinks during an evening of relaxing and chatting with fellow students.

Depending on the type of bad weather, the course will take place. In case of an occasional shower, you can simply climb. If rain is forecast for the entire weekend, we are forced to reschedule or cancel the weekend.
Some climbing areas are more than 20 minutes away by car. This is done by carpooling. Other climbing areas can be reached on foot from the Base Camp.
Yes. At Base Camp, you can charge your mobile devices. There is no electricity on the camping field. Are you coming with a motorhome or caravan and want a camping spot with electricity? Then this can be arranged at an additional cost (if space is available).
Ja. Het Base Camp in de Ardennen is te bereiken met het openbaar vervoer. Vanaf Utrecht Centraal duurt de reis ongeveer vijf uur.
Yes, this is possible in consultation. Please contact us by email or phone so that we can coordinate the extra night.
A WhatsApp group will be created for the participants of your course where you can make carpool appointments among themselves. In addition, there is a general carpool document where participants from different courses can make agreements.
