FAQs
Bouldering is a discipline of climbing that traces its roots back to outdoor climbing on large rocks, or boulders. Over the years, the sport has moved indoors, with numerous bouldering gyms now established across the Netherlands. It is the ultimate sport for combining physical strength with mental focus and muscle development!
With bouldering, you climb up to 4–5 metres high and no climbing certificate is required. It is an accessible sport that ultimately demands a lot of muscle strength. With rope climbing, you can go up to 18 metres high. Routes take longer, but high up in the air you are completely in your element! To start rope climbing, you first need a climbing certificate (KVB-IT).
Climbing and bouldering offer a full-body workout. They engage almost every muscle group, simultaneously improving strength, balance, and flexibility. Just as importantly, it is a mental game: every route requires focus and strategic thinking, which helps build self-confidence and alleviate stress. Plus, since climbing is naturally social, you’ll find yourself becoming part of a thriving community.
