6-12
Fully prepared and independently up a Via Ferrata? In this course, you will learn the necessary knowledge and skills to save yourself and your climbing buddy from different situations. You learn how to help yourself and your climbing partner through tougher segments. After this course, you can set out independently and confidently!
What are you going to do?
During this course, you will learn all the techniques to climb a Via Ferrata independently. In practice, it involves more than overclipping your via ferrata set correctly. In this course, you will work on topics such as cycling, meteorology and learn how to help your climbing partner through tougher segments.
Why this course
During the course, you will go through two different via ferrata routes. These differ in both length and type, so you become familiar with different situations. In addition, you will expand your knowledge of materials so that you know what to take with you on your trip. Above all, we're going to practice a lot, of course. By the end of this course, you will be well prepared to climb a Via Ferrata without a guide!
Where are you going to climb
The course takes place in one or more beautiful climbing areas in the Ardennes, such as Pont-à-Lesse, within walking distance of the base camp. Other areas are usually 25 minutes' drive from our base camp at Villatoile campsite. Transportation here is on your own; of course, we will set up a carpool schedule together.
Fully cared for
From our base camp, we provide a delicious breakfast, lunch, dinner and a spot to pitch a tent. If you don't have a tent, you can rent a pop-up tent from us that we'll set up for you! We also have delicious drinks during an evening of relaxing and chatting with fellow students.
