Maintenance Staff

WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?
The Maintenance Staff Member works for the Products department and is out and about every day. During the first few months you will mainly assist at our National Climbing Center in Nieuwegein, which is currently under construction. One day you might help the furniture maker install cabinets, and the next you are working on the climbing wall yourself.
You will also be the right hand of our on-site Coordinator, who manages contacts with all suppliers and subcontractors.
After the summer period your role will expand to include nationwide tasks such as maintaining our other climbing and bouldering centers.
Tasks & responsibilities:
- Various supporting tasks during the construction of the National Climbing Center Nieuwegein
- Preparing and building climbing and bouldering walls at external locations
- Carrying out repairs and works at Climbing Network’s own locations
- Scheduling appointments with clients and writing up reports
WHAT DO WE ASK OF YOU?
You are a practical colleague who enjoys working in a climbing and mountain sports company. You are handy with tools and enjoy varied work. Your duties will be mainly in Nieuwegein during the first few months, and then also nationwide.
Minimum requirements:
- MBO level of thinking and working
- Practical and handy
- Able to work independently and take responsibility
- Driving licence (preferably also BE licence or willing to obtain one)
- Willing to work irregular hours (weekend day, weekday until 19:00)
- Affinity with climbing is a plus; not afraid of working at heights
- Preferably living in or near Nieuwegein
- Willingness to follow various relevant training courses

- Salary depending on education and experience (gross indication €2,378 – €2,626)

WHERE WILL YOU WORK?
Climbing Network is a fast-growing and dynamic organisation with over 30 years of experience in climbing and mountain sports. The organisation has 7 climbing and bouldering centers in the Netherlands, an outdoor location in the Belgian Ardennes and is active worldwide as an organiser of climbing and mountain sport trips.
CN Products handles the management and maintenance of climbing walls at schools, institutions etc., builds climbing and bouldering walls, and manages a Mobile Climbing Rock. We are also the maintenance party for every CN location. You will work under the supervision of our climbing walls and maintenance coordinator.
