HERE YOU WILL FIND ALL THE SAFETY RULES FOR BOULDERGYM ARNHEM
Bouldering is a high-risk sport. If you have no experience with bouldering yet, we advise you to take an introduction lesson. Or get a safety briefing from a staff member on your first visit — ask for this at the counter.
Keep the mats clear for boulderers.
Do not run, play or lie on the mats.
Keep sufficient distance (above, below and beside) from boulderers on the wall.
Down-climbing is better than jumping down! Use the grey down-climbing holds for this.
While bouldering, only use the wall and the holds, not the structure of the building.
Always place your chalk bag, brushes, etc. outside the fall zone. Use chalk sparingly!
Do not wear jewellery or watches while bouldering.
Make sure you have mastered the correct falling technique:
Down-climbing is better than jumping down
Practise jumping down and cushioning your jump or fall
When bouldering in the boulder garden above 3 metres (black line), the use of a crash pad is mandatory and it is advisable to boulder with a spotter.
Help each other fall safely!
Do not place any objects other than crash pads in the fall zone.
Climbing on top of the boulder blocks is not permitted.
Watch the instruction video 'boulder garden safety' before you go bouldering in the boulder garden for the first time.
