Opening in Nieuwegein: the National Climbing Center (NCC), the largest climbing facility in the Benelux and the official training center for the Dutch National Climbing Team.

Whether you are scaling a wall for the very first time or training for an international championship, this is the ultimate destination for every climber. Centrally located and highly accessible, the center has been thoughtfully designed around the core principles of light, space, and sustainability.

Current facilities

The doors to our brand-new bouldering walls and training zones are officially open! This brings a massive, instant expansion to the facilities here at the NCC. You can now experience:

• The 14-Meter & 18-Meter Lead Halls: A diverse selection of top-rope and lead routes tailored to all skill levels.
• Three Bouldering Halls: 1,500 m² of floor space dedicated to bouldering, packed with brand-new problems.
• Elite Training Facilities: Simulator walls and a spray wall designed specifically to hone your strength and technique.

Opening hours

Our updated hours are in effect from 1 June, meaning you can now kick off your day with an early-morning training session:

Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 23:00
Saturday and Sunday: 8:30 – 22:00

Climate Control

Climbing or bouldering during hot summer days? No problem at all. Thanks to our state-of-the-art climate control system, the temperature across all of our climbing and bouldering halls remains perfectly comfortable. The facility is actively cooled to maintain a steady temperature of around 18°C. It is the perfect climbing climate, all year round!

Schedule for the coming months

Behind the scenes, we are steadily working away to perfect the entire facility. Over the coming weeks, the following projects will be completed:

• Outdoor Walls & Speed Wall: The exterior climbing walls, including the official speed wall, will be fully finalized.
• Premium Flooring: The permanent, impact-absorbing flooring will be laid throughout the climbing halls.
• Auto-Belay Installation: All 43 auto-belay units will be securely mounted and set up.
• Training Zone: The specialized training area, including the Kilterboard, will be completely finished.
• Experience Center: The dedicated retail space, featuring an extensive selection of gear from our partners Petzl and La Sportiva, will be fully built out.
• Cafe & Terrace: While the bar is already open for drinks, the rest of our cozy cafe space and outdoor terrace will receive their final finishing touches.
• The Climbers Hostel: Work will be wrapped up on our unique, on-site accommodation for visiting climbers.

Pricing Structure

With the launch of our new bouldering hall, we are introducing an updated pricing structure featuring separate bouldering rates as well as combined climbing and bouldering options.

• Bouldering Rates: A bouldering day pass, punch card, or membership grants you access to all three bouldering halls, all training facilities, and the auto-belays.
• Combined Rates: A combined climbing + bouldering day pass, punch card, or membership gives you unlimited access to every single facility within the NCC.

The new bouldering rates take effect immediately, while the combined rates (applicable to day passes, punch cards, and memberships alike) will go into effect on 1 June. Until then, you can still take advantage of our previous pricing!

Pré Summer Party

On Saturday, 27 June, we are kicking off the summer season by celebrating everything our facility currently has to offer. Expect a day packed with beats, fresh pizzas, drinks, snacks, and a special Boulder Competition open to anyone up for a challenge.

Grand opening NCC

On Saturday, 5 September, we will be celebrating the official grand opening of the National Climbing Center. The day's lineup will include clinics, workshops, elite demonstrations, and presentations, with special appearances by athletes from La Sportiva and Petzl.
